Art in Motion

Edgar at DKANDE is an artist. His slogan is "Creating Art in Motion" and that's exactly what he does. When it came time to get the cross bike ready for the upcoming training season, commuting, and charity rides, I decided a facelift was in order to go along with a few updates to the running gear. Edgar had been in the shop a few times, we talked, exchanged ideas, and finally it was time. I gave him a few ideas, and let him do his "artist" thing. We all have things we do well and designing/painting bikes is DKANDE's thing.

The result of this project is a piece of art that I am truly proud to own. Many of you know that this is a frame that I personally crafted and it has been my pride and joy for over the last 10 years and has treated me to race wins, thousands of commuter miles, and epic rides with friends and family through some of the most beautiful places in this country. Now, thanks to Edgar and DKANDE, I have a quality finish that fits the bike perfectly.

Look for future collaborations from Alpha Bicycle Company and DKANDE later this year, including a custom painted bike for a local charity. We can't wait to see what Edgar comes up with...

Spring has Sprung!

Things are really getting going here and we are super excited about the changes and additions. We are adding lots of new parts, accessories and clothing.

We also are getting lots of new bikes in and built up. Another batch of Niner's are on the way, including a few more demos. We also recently have built up some bikes for the floor from Moots, Salsa, Vassago, and many more that are looking for a good home.

            

And WE'RE RIDING! Join us throughout the week for a ride or two. Right now, we are abandoning a set schedule and getting out when ever possible. Check us out on Facebook for the most up to date outing schedule. You don't have to be "on" Facebook to see it. Or just stop on by, give us a call, or send a carrier pigeon. Gravity Fed!

For 2011, we are starting a push to breakout as "THE" place to get your gravity fix! While there is still snow on the slopes, many of us are already counting the days until the resorts open to bikes. Gear has already started to arrive and more is soon to come. With bikes in stock and demos available  from Kona, Pivot, and Giant, all the parts in stock (and knowledge) to fix your battered beauty, and armor, pads and apparel to keep you stylie and safe we will be able keep you going downhill fast!

We Made it!

The new store at 8006 E. Arapahoe Road is NOW OPEN! We are super excited about the  new space and the work we have done. Stop on by, check it out and say hello. We will continue to grow into the new space, but it's a  dramatic improvement over the old shop. Stay tuned, there is lots more to come!
